Kimmy and Peter hit it off during a ski trip with a small group of friends at the University of Texas. They started rock climbing together, and soon after began dating. Eight years, one dog, a house, two Ph.D.'s and many rock climbing adventures later, they're getting married!

After COVID-19 cancelled a group ski trip, Kimmy and Peter decided to drive back to the ski area where they had their first adventure together, just the two of them this time. On a rest day, they hiked up the Mayflower Gulch road, where Peter proposed on the snowpack at the base of the mountains.
