Should we rent a car?

Answer

That is totally up to you. We aren't. You would have to get to the beaches super early to get a parking spot, there aren't many spots to park when you go to Cruz Bay, and they drive on the left side...which isn't bad, but the roads are very steep and windy. So you definitely won't be driving at night. There are taxi services always available, private and open air taxis. If you're planning on staying on one island for longer than a week (not island hopping), than I would maybe consider it depending on your group. You can still get around without one, but if you like to venture out and explore the island on your own, then I would rent one. Is there beach access at The Hills Villas?

Answer

No. There are some villas available with a private pool. And there is a main clubhouse where there is a pool, fitness center, and cafe serving light fare and cocktails.

How far from Downtown Cruz Bay is The Hills?

Answer

It's about a 5 minute drive and 25 minute hike...do not suggest leaving this area on foot. Chicco (the taxi) was fast when we called for him to come get us. Need to give him about 15-20 minutes to come to The Hills. He doesn't come himself, he has a bunch of drivers that are out and about

Is there a babysitting service available?

Answer

Yes! I've been in contact with "Kids Night In". They come to where you are staying and bring crafts, toys, games, etc to enhance the childcare experience. All sitters are CPR certified and vaccinated. Their rates are $25/hr for one child with an additional $5/hr per added child. You can contact Leslie McKibben for more information Leslie@kidsnightin.com I also spoke with our Wedding Planner and Photographer....both HIGHLY recommend her. Said she's the best on the island. Was previously a NICU Nurse. A lot of the wedding guests use her and are very happy with her service.

Should we lugg all of our baby equipment on the plane with us?

Helllll no! There is a company called Island Baby, where you can rent cribs, high chairs, and general baby stuff. www.islandbabyvi.com
