One of our favorite hikes to take visitors in Shenandoah National Park because of all the beautiful water features and waterfall swimming hole. There is an easy ~2 mile out and back and a harder ~8-10 mile loop.
A must-visit culinary vineyard that overlooks the Shenandoah mountains. The veranda seating is very popular and books out way in advance. Make a reservation on Resy for about 1 month in advance if you really want to go and sit on the veranda. You don't need a reservation to sit out on the grass. The food is farm to table and the wine is delicious. Our favorite red wine is the Easton Blue.
One of the first vineyards Andrew and I visited and it's beautiful, smaller than other vineyards but very charming. A great day in C-Ville would be to hike the Sugar Hollow Trail to Blue Hole (easy ~2 mile roundtrip hike), go swimming in the blue hole, and then hit up Stinson Vineyard afterwards for a glass of wine (right next to the hike).
One of our favorite things to do in C-vill in the summer is float down the Rivanna river!! Take two cars. Leave one car at Riverside Park, then drive to Darden Towe park and float down the Rivanna river from Darden Towe to Riverside (~2-3 hour float depending on water speed).
