Join us for a day of sightseeing in our host city, Belo Horizonte! We’ll start with a guided tour of Mineirão, the second-largest soccer stadium in Brazil — a must-see for any sports lover or curious traveler. After that, we’ll take in the beauty of Lagoa da Pampulha, a scenic lakeside area known for its architecture and peaceful vibe. We’ll break for lunch at a local spot, explore a bit more, and finish the day with a delicious group dinner together. Come ready to walk, eat, and enjoy some of the best this city has to offer!

Mercado Central

After a relaxing morning to recover and recharge, we’ll spend the afternoon exploring Mercado Central — one of Belo Horizonte’s most iconic spots. This bustling indoor market is packed with local culture, offering everything from handmade goods and souvenirs to regional snacks, cheeses, spices, and more. It’s the perfect place to pick up gifts, try something new, or just soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

Trip to Ouro Preto

Ouro Preto is a historic colonial town known for its baroque architecture, gold mining history, and beautiful churches. The day will include a gold mine tour, visits to the city’s famous baroque churches, and the Museum of Gold.

Soccer Game

We’re planning to attend a Brazilian soccer game while we’re in Belo Horizonte — and trust us, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss! The energy in the stadium is electric, and it’s a huge part of the local culture. 🚨 Heads up: The official game schedule in Brazil doesn’t come out months in advance like in the U.S. Instead, it’s typically released 1–2 months ahead of time, so we don’t yet know the exact date of the game. Once the schedule is announced, we’ll update this page with the details. If needed, we may shift dinner plans or other events around the wedding to make sure we can attend together. Stay tuned — and get ready to cheer! ⚽️

Trip to Rio de Janeiro

After we return from our weekend in Tiradentes, the group will head straight to the airport to catch a flight to Rio de Janeiro for a 3-day adventure! If you’d rather skip Rio, you’re welcome to either fly back to the U.S. on Monday or return to Belo Horizonte for independent exploring — totally up to you. For those joining the group, get ready to experience the best of Rio’s iconic sights. We’ll have a local guide accompanying us throughout to make everything easy, safe, and fun. We’ll be visiting: Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf Mountain) Local beaches And all the classic must-see Rio spots ✳️ Please note: While Rio is absolutely beautiful, it is also known for having areas where extra caution is needed. We strongly recommend sticking with the group at all times. We’ll have a trusted guide with us throughout to ensure a safe and smooth experience.
