Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love all of your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. The only children attending are those who are part of our wedding party. If anyone needs help with making arrangements for child care, please let us know and we will do our best to assist. Thank you for your understanding!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There are several free parking lots to choose from. Valet parking will also be available for guests. The closest lot is across the street from the Smithville Inn, but be advised, it is an unpaved dirt lot.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors. The cocktail hour, however, will take place in the garden room which is open to the outside patio with views of the lake and village.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes. We have a small registry through our Zola website, as well as Bed Bath and Beyond. You can find both under "Registry". Gift cards are appreciated as well!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

All hotel accommodations are approximately 15 minutes (or less) from the Smithville Inn. Therefore, we will not be providing transportation to and from the hotels and wedding venue. Uber and Lyft are always a good option. Or a taxi service may be an option for those who do not wish to utilize either application service. I'm still holding out hope that rooms will become available at the Colonial Inn!

Answer

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests may arrive up to 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Ceremony begins promptly at 5pm.

What type of food and drink will be served during cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

Cocktail hour will consist of butler passed hot hors d'oeuvres, a hot and cold station, as well as a chef station. Followed by a buffet-style dinner reception. There will be a 4.5 hour open bar of premium liquor, wine, and beverages. So come hungry and thirsty!

What do I do if I have dietary restrictions/allergies?

Answer

Our invitation will include a space to write any dietary concerns you may have so we can address them with our caterer. We will do our best!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We would prefer our wedding photographer capture our special moments during the ceremony. However, we hope you will capture your own fun moments during the reception!
