Nos conocimos en el 2020, cuando el mundo entero decidió que Zoom era la nueva forma de socializar. Ella dice que yo nunca silenciaba mi micrófono, que se escuchaban los saludos a mis vecinos. Yo digo que simplemente quería que todos se sintieran bienvenidos. Ella confiesa que al principio le caía un poquito gordo. Yo confieso que desde que la vi, supe que tenía algo especial, aunque ella no lo notara en ese momento. En 2021, hicimos un viaje con nuestros amigos a Monterrey — mi tierra. Ella dice que ahí fue cuando empezó a ver mi lado hospitalario y gracioso. Yo digo que ver su risa en persona fue mucho mejor que escucharla por Zoom. Después vino Sonora, otro viaje, donde seguimos conociéndonos como amigos. Ambos decimos que ahí la amistad se volvió más firme, más cómoda, más bonita. Pero el momento que lo cambió todo fue en 2022, en una boda. Yo la saqué a bailar “Dame un Besito” de Intocable. Ella dice que en ese momento, algo hizo clic dentro de ella. Yo también lo sentí. Y aunque nos daba miedo cruzar la línea de la amistad, decidimos intentarlo. No fue fácil. Hubo dudas, distancia, y momentos donde pensamos rendirnos. Pero también hubo muchas llamadas por WhatsApp, risas interminables, y apoyo mutuo en los días difíciles. Y entonces llegó febrero de 2024. Un viaje a Zacatlán de las Manzanas con nuestras familias. Él dice que casi se desmaya de los nervios. Yo digo que en ese instante, supe que no quería una vida sin él. Y así, entre manzanas, paraguas, con lluvia y la vista más preciosa de la ciudad que te quita el aliento, me pidió que me casara con él. Desde ese día, seguimos escribiendo una historia que no ha sido perfecta, pero sí profundamente nuestra: con lágrimas que han enseñado, carcajadas que sanan, una pierna rota, historias que merecen su propio libro, y un montón de “te amo” dichos entre pantallas y abrazos. Y ahora, queremos celebrar el próximo capítulo con ustedes. Porque esta historia no sería lo mismo sin los que han estado cerca desde el primer “mutea tu micrófono” hasta el más reciente “¿ya viste el anillo?”

And even though we were afraid to cross the line between friendship and something more, we decided to give it a try. It wasn’t easy. There were doubts, distance, and moments where we thought about giving up. But there were also countless WhatsApp calls, endless laughter, and mutual support on hard days. Then came February 2024. A trip to Zacatlán de las Manzanas with our families. He says he almost fainted from nerves. I say that in that moment, I knew I didn’t want a life without him. And so, surrounded by apples, umbrellas, rain, and the most breathtaking view of the city, he asked me to marry him. Since that day, we’ve continued writing a story that hasn’t been perfect, but has always been deeply ours—full of tears that have taught us, laughter that heals, a broken leg, stories worthy of their own book, and a million “I love yous” shared between screens and hugs. And now, we want to celebrate the next chapter with you. Because this story wouldn’t be the same without those who’ve been with us from the first “mute your mic” to the most recent “did you see the ring?”
