Question

What time is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3pm and will last just under an hour

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We're asking guests to come in semi-formal attire, but make it your own! Bright colours, fun patterns, and personal style are encouraged! Most importantly - wear something you'll feel comfortable hitting the dance floor in!

Question

Are Children permitted?

Answer

They sure are. Just a heads-up that we’ll have a live band at the reception, so it will definitely get loud as the night goes on. A lot of our guests who are bringing their kids have let us know that they plan on having the grandparents pick them up as the night gets later, so mom and dad can stay and have some more fun. Also - if you know Dylan and his groomsmen, you know that a couple Lil Wayne songs may end up on the playlist. So if your little one likes to repeat song lyrics after they hear them, consider this your heads up.

Question

Food and allergies?

Answer

Please let us know on the RSVP form if you have any food allergies. While we won’t be serving a sit-down dinner, there will be plenty of small bites and desserts throughout the evening, plus late-night snacks.

Question

Transportation Options?

Answer

If you are staying in Downtown Halifax, we highly recommend taking the ferry. It is the coolest public transportation option in the city and a local favourite. The ceremony and reception are both located in Downtown Dartmouth, just a short walk from the ferry terminal. A single adult fare is $3.00, with children aged 5 and under riding for free. The ride takes approximately 15 minutes, with ferries operating every 15 to 30 minutes depending on the time of day. **The ferry only takes cash, and we always recommend to have exact change just to be safe. There's a change machine at the terminal, but it's often broken. If you are coming from the Dartmouth side, there is street parking available throughout Downtown Dartmouth, along with limited parking near the church and hall. Uber is also widely used and readily available in the area.

Question

Alcohol?

Answer

There is a cash bar on site, located in the lower hall. When we say cash bar we don't mean they only take cash - rather that it's not an open bar. We will also have NA options.

Question

What Colour is the Wedding Party Wearing?

Answer

Dylan and his wedding party will be in forest green. Kim’s wedding party will be in black.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If you think there was a mistake on your invitation (for example, you’re married or in a long-term relationship and your partner wasn’t included), please reach out and let us know. If you’d like to bring someone new, feel free to ask. At this time, we’re not able to accommodate additional guests, however this may change closer to the date.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We do not have a registry. If you'd like to give a gift, we are asking for contributions to our honeymoon & first home fund :)

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 31st, 2026.
