In July of 2018, Kimberly completed her professional internship with the Walt Disney Company and moved out to Flagstaff, Arizona to pursue her Master's in Counseling - Student Affairs at Northern Arizona University while working an assistantship in Housing and Residence Life. Kimberly was looking forward to a new adventure in a new place, and to reconnecting with Bri Ott - a former friend and supervisor from her undergraduate college, SUNY Fredonia. Leading up to this, Bri and Alana had met while working for Housing and Residence Life at NAU and developed a fast friendship, sharing many laughs together. Kimberly and Alana credit Bri for being the link that started this lifetime together. Shortly after arriving, Bri moved on to a new opportunity and departed Flagstaff. Her absence was felt by both Kimberly and Alana, and the pair started spending time with each other to fill it - finding friendship from their mutual connection. Quickly, their friendship grew and Kimberly and Alana knew that they wanted to pursue something more and began dating on September 26th, 2018. Kimberly and Alana loved the community they made in Flagstaff! After graduation, and during the pandemic, Kimberly moved in with Alana to their first home together in Gabaldon Hall. Here, the couple learned that living together was like a sleepover with your best friend every single night. In the Fall of 2020, Alana was presented with an opportunity to work for the University of Florida. Kimberly, Alana, and their fur-baby Minerva Blair packed up whatever belongings they could into two cars and made the drive from Arizona to Florida to start a new adventure. After about a year, Kimberly accepted a position with Housing and Residence Life at the University of Central Florida, for the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. Currently, Kimberly and Alana continue to both work at UCF and reminisce about beautiful memories of Minerva enjoying her time sunbathing in the Central Florida heat. Alana and Kimberly have had so many adventures together over the course of their relationship and are ecstatic at the limitless more to come with marriage.

In September of 2022 one of Kimberly's best friends, Allison Medina, and her family were visiting the Orlando area. Allison and Kimberly met while working for the Walt Disney Company, and love to connect in one of their favorite places as often as they can. Alana and Allison set up a dinner reservation at the Grand Floridian Resort for what Kimberly believed to be a nice dinner together to enjoy quality time together and conclude Allison's family vacation. What Kimberly didn't know was that Alana and Allison were actually working together to arrange a surprise proposal! Upon arriving to the resort, Allison asked Kimberly to take family and friend pictures together on a quiet beach spot overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon. As Allison was taking a photo of Alana and Kimberly, Alana turned and asked Kimberly to marry her. Kimberly responded with a resounding "Heck Yes!"
