Optimist Hall is an old textile mill turned into a food hall. U.S. National Whitewater Center

The Whitewater Center offers a variety of outdoor activities. You can enjoy whitewater rafting and kayaking, flatwater kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing, zip lines, ropes courses, a canopy tour, and mountain biking. It's a 20 minute drive from Uptown Charlotte, but if you have a car & are up for an adventure, it's a fun way to spend a day!
