How We Met On April 3, 2020, at the very beginning of the pandemic, we officially met at a mutual friend's small gathering. With not much else to do back then, we spent the evening playing board games, sharing drinks, and laughing. Our friend’s husband insisted on picking up his buddy, TieRre—after all, no one should be alone on their birthday. Somewhere between a bathroom break and a movie, there was a moment. A glance, followed by a playful exchange and a bold move. We left that night together, and to be honest, he hasn’t left me alone since (literally). The Proposal Every Christmas, TieRre’s family goes to the ocean, and 2024 was no different. On the last day of the trip, we were relaxing and shopping when he suggested a walk on the beach. It was foggy, cold, and I wasn’t exactly thrilled (ask him, I made that very clear). But when his Aunt Pat gave us the final nudge, we bundled up and headed down. He grabbed my camera, and we made our way to the sand. I spotted smoke down the beach and didn’t want to walk any farther, but TieRre insisted. On the way, some girls asked me to take their photo. As I did, he nervously paced nearby. When we finally found an empty stretch of beach, I asked if there was something he wanted to say. He said no—then quickly asked me the same. We laughed. Then he asked how long we’d been together (almost five years) and how many times he’d said “I love you” (zero). As I turned around to give him a look, he was getting down on one knee. “Well, I love you, Kimberly Bonsignore. Will you marry me?” I laughed, said yes through happy giggles and the entire beach erupted in cheers. It was louder than we could have imagined. Within minutes, the beach emptied out and we were left in a quiet moment just for us. It was perfect. Our Life Together Since that first night, we’ve built a life full of laughter, love, puppies, and big milestones. We’ve celebrated career wins—his promotion in August 2023 & April 2025, mine in July 2024—and welcomed two fur babies into our home in September 2023. We’ve watched our siblings get married and grow their families, and now it’s our turn. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you.
