Shaun and Kim first met in the Emergency Department at Morristown Medical Center in 2012. Kim's not sure Shaun remembered her from his 4th year student rotation when she was an intern, but she was happy to see that he matched into the next resident class! After a shift one day, Shaun invited Kim over to watch some football. They ended up talking all night and into the morning, and the rest was history! Shaun and Kim's relationship has spanned 2 states and years of physician training. They made it work while living hundreds of miles apart and when Shaun followed Kim to North Carolina, he taught her to love the beach and outdoor adventure. They both feel so lucky to have found their dream jobs back home in New Jersey just a few miles apart where they can continue their lives together!

Kim and Shaun are Disney lovers and frequent park visitors. On their first trip back after a year of pandemic in February 2021, Kim wanted to get engaged at the most magical place on earth! But Shaun teased that it was too expected. To her surprise, after taking a photo at a scenic spot in Epcot's Italy Pavilion, Kim turned around and saw Shaun on one knee with a ring! They got very lucky that a stranger was watching and captured the moment for them!
