Black tie optional. We'd love to see your tuxs, suits, kilts, and formal dresses dancing the night away on the cliffs of Scotland. The ceremony, cocktail hour, tours of the castle, dinner, and dancing will be in separate areas in the castle and the castle grounds. The weather in September tends to be a high of 60s, with a low of 45. September has double the amount of sun than any other month, but Scotland frequently has rain so be prepared for some dramatic rainy landscapes, hopefully with the famous Scotland mists.
Yes, we are currently arranging a shuttle to and from the hotel. The ceremony and reception will all take place onsite at Culzean Castle.

Scotland is fully open to US travelers who are vaccinated without a quarantine. We’ll be sending around details on how to navigate the travel as I’ve already done it. Also happy to answer any questions so feel free to reach out. The good news - this will make the wedding a super safe space as everyone who is there will be vaccinated. Thank you all for your patience as we try to navigate a destination wedding planned before a global pandemic. Trust us, we know it's frustrating, But we've got this. And this rule will actually be a great way to ensure everyone is safe, and comfortable at our wedding, And, what an awesome way to celebrate the slow return to normal than gathering with friends and family to party!
While we'd like to keep the kiddos to a minimum, there will be a kid room for you to dump your bundles of joy into. It's technically the game room in the castle. A nanny will be onsite to watch the kiddos starting at 5:00 pm, after the ceremony and mead hour. We do need a headcount of the children. You'll also want to bring anything like a pack'n'play that your child needs as the nanny does not provide those.
