Train
The subway is a great option for guests who prefer not to drive or rely on Uber/Lyft/taxi. — Hotel to Ceremony — We recommend taking the 1 line (uptown side) from 28th Street to 72nd Street, which is about a 10-minute subway ride. The church is a short walk from the 72nd Street subway station. — Penn Station to Ceremony — We recommend taking the 2 or 3 line (which are the express lines, but you can also take the 1 line, which is the local line) (uptown side) from 34th Street to 72nd Street, which is about a 5-minute subway ride. The church is a short walk from the 72nd Street subway station. — Ceremony to Reception — We recommend taking the 1 line (downtown side) from 72nd Street to 23rd Street, which is about a 12-minute subway ride. From the 23rd Street station, you can walk to the venue (about 20 minutes) or take an Uber/Lyft/taxi (about 12 minutes). You can also take the C line (downtown side) from 72nd Street to 23rd Street, which about a 10-minute subway ride. From the 23rd Street station, you can walk to the venue (about 15 minutes) or take an Uber/Lyft/taxi (about 10 minutes).
Train
For those new to NYC, please see below for further information about the subway. We promise it's not as confusing as it sounds! — Cost and Payment Methods — A subway ride is $2.90 (one way). You can pay for the subway by purchasing a MetroCard (which costs $1) at any vending machine located at a subway station and loading it with the amount you need for your total fare. You can then swipe the MetroCard at the turnstiles. You can also pay for the subway via the OMNY system. If you have Apple Pay on your phone or a credit card that is contactless, you can just tap the OMNY reader that is located on the turnstiles. — Subway Lines — Subway lines are easy to identify based on color. Luckily, for our wedding day you only need to know about two subway lines! 1, 2, 3 line - look for red signs C line - look for blue signs — Uptown vs. Downtown — Most subway lines have different entrances for trains heading uptown versus trains heading downtown. Justin is known to make this fatal mistake and end up going the opposite direction of where he planned to go. To avoid following in his footsteps, be sure to check for an "uptown" or "downtown" sign before boarding the subway.
