In the three years that they have lived next to Central Park, Justin has tried to get Kim to walk through the park past 9pm. Kim has always refused. The park is for enjoying in the daylight after all. On a Sunday evening, after a spontaneous visit to a nearby steakhouse, Justin managed to do the impossible and convinced Kim that walking home through the park would be the best option. Too tired and full from the meal, Kim agreed, but not before quoting entirely false statistics about criminal activities in the park. Although Justin repeatedly tried to assure Kim that they would be fine and tried to slow down their walking so that he could find a good place to pop the question, Kim forged on and continued with her speed walking and monologue about crime. “We need to stay a moving target” is the last thing Kim said before Justin stopped walking and suddenly called for Kim. Kim, who had been a few steps ahead of Justin, whipped her head around and didn’t see Justin in her immediate line of sight. She thought she had been proven correct and that Justin was surely a kidnapping victim. When she looked down, she found Justin on one knee. They left the park as fiancées, safe and sound. See below for a picture of Kim and Justin in the spot where they got engaged.
