Things To Do

Syracuse and broader Central New York is where we met and fell in love, and it is an area with a great deal to offer visitors from out of town. Green Lakes Park itself is wonderful, with a beach, boat rentals, and trails of various difficulty. We also encourage you to explore the city--it's filled with little gems from the Northside's Italian bakeries to Tipp Hill's Irish pubs--but here are a few specific suggestions for folks traveling from out-of-town.

Salt City Market

484 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13202

Over the years, we've fallen in love with Syracuse's vibrant food scene. Salt City Market draws together several of these various cuisines within a lively atmosphere, providing a wonderful introduction to the city for those from out-of-town.

Everson Museum of Art

401 Harrison Street, Syracuse, NY 13202

The I.M. Pei-designed Everson Museum of Art hosts a frequently-shifting gallery highlighting various artists alongside its permanent collection. In addition, the free-to-access grounds of the museum often host pop-up craft markets, bands, and other events.

CNY Regional Market

2100 Park Street, Syracuse, NY 13208

Every Saturday from 7am - 2pm, the Regional Market brings together 300+ vendors from across central New York to highlight the region's agriculture, crafting, and food & drink scene. During the same window on Sundays the market plays host to another CNY tradition--flea markets--which we also recommend.

Taste of Syracuse

1000 South Clinton Street, Syracuse, NY 13202

It just happens that our wedding weekend overlaps with this year's Taste of Syracuse! On June 2 and 3, dozens of the city's restaurants, food trucks, and other vendors will take over Clinton Square and many of the surrounding streets for a multi-day festival. Free to enter, they also have three stages of live music from morning until the night.
