Question

COVID Policy?

Answer

Regardless of how much we wish it had ended, the pandemic continues to drag on! We very much hope to see you all in June, but just as much, we would like to keep everyone healthy and safe. This is part of why we chose a venue with a lot of outdoor space and air flow. However, in part because we all have loved ones with varying underlying conditions, we're also asking everyone to test before traveling and to monitor symptoms ahead of the event.

Question

Is there a hotel room block?

Answer

We hope to secure a block group with discounted rates for out-of-town guests, but we are still in the process of doing so. We'll update this & the travel page as soon as we have more information!

Question

How do we get there?

Answer

Our venue is at Green Lakes State Park, a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Syracuse. The park is open from dawn to dusk, and as you will be able to see in our schedule everything on-site will wrap up by then. There is a ten dollar fee per vehicle to enter Green Lakes.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Perhaps the most fun of the wedding questions. Short answer: Garden Party Longer answer: the venue we've chosen is at a state park, and mixes between indoors and an outside porch, patio, and walkway by the lake. It's often between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit in early June here, and though the building has quite a few doors and windows we plan to open for the lakeside breeze, there isn't any AC. Feel free to dress accordingly, especially when it comes to shoes! We also know many of our friends enjoy adding their own flair or twist when it comes to attire. Prints, florals, fancy hats, sundresses, bow-ties and suspenders--we're here for whatever makes you, you!

Question

Can we take photographs during the ceremony?

Answer

While we appreciate your want to capture these special moments, both of us believe strongly in being in the moment and ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos. To help us (and you!) remember our special day, we've hired an excellent photographer and will make what she takes available as soon as we're able.
