For guests visiting Alaska for multiple days, we recommend booking a fishing charter out of Seward or Homer.
There are multiple, beautiful trails (ranging in difficulty) that we recommend in Eagle River. Some of our favorites include: Eagle River Nature Center (multiple easy trails), South Fork Falls (easy), South Fork Eagle River Trail (moderate), and Mount Baldy (moderate bordering difficult).
There are plenty of hikes in Anchorage for beautiful views of nature or of the city. Some of our favorites include: Point Woronzof Park (easy), Upper Rabbit Creek/Rabbit Lake Trailhead (moderate), and Flattop Mountain (difficult).
Some of our favorite picture-perfect hikes, outside of Anchorage, include: Virgin Falls - Girdwood, AK (easy), Winner Creek Gorge Trail Head Lower Winner Creek Trail - Girdwood, AK (easy bordering moderate), Thunderbird Falls (moderate), and Hatcher Pass (multiple trails ranging in difficulty or just a beautiful drive).
A few scenic drives we recommend to take for an Alaskan adventure: Southbound Seward Highway in between Anchorage and Girdwood (great for whale watching and to catch the bore tide), Hatcher Pass, Whittier, and the drive to Flattop Trailhead.
A few experiences that require payment and can easily be fit into a day of adventuring: Whittier Tunnel, Alyeska Tram, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and Anchorage Museum
Please keep in mind that September is the end of tourist season so most tours of any kind will be closing for the season. We recommend calling any tour company you are interested in to ensure the dates are within their season.
