How is the parking at the ceremony?

Answer

Parking at the church can be tricky! It is best to carpool or take an uber. There are also various trains nearby. If you do plan to drive there is a small church garage, and street parking (pay attention to the meters/no parking signs) and it is a small uber drive (or 5-10 minute walk) from the Forest Hills LIRR!

what will the weather be like?

Answer

Spring in New York is always tricky but since the venue is on the water, expect it to be 10 degrees colder than normal! probably in the '50s, so if you get cold bring a shawl/sweater! The reception is indoors so you won't be cold for long!

What should I do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Since there are a few hours in between, you can either grab a quick drink at one of the many restaurants on Austin st near the church or head over near the venue and enjoy W Beech st. Both will offer plenty of places to spend your time, or if you prefer to take a breather or get changed for the reception you also have enough time to go home/back to your hotel!

Can I bring a date?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour followed by 4 more hours of reception. The dinner will be a sit down with 5 menu options including vegetarian. There is also plenty of things to eat during cocktail for anyone with allergies/ dietary restrictions. Please let me know of any severe allergies! Allergies already asked about to the venue were peanuts and shellfish and they assured no cross-contamination and no issues accommodating allergies!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

All RSVPs should be received by April 17, 2023. We will not be able to accommodate anyone past this date as we need an accurate headcount for certain venue requirements!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We were unable to secure an affordable and nearby hotel block for our guests due to the number of rooms we needed and availability/pricing. We do have plenty of suggestions for hotels recommended in the area or in neighboring towns. Some we have come by are the Allegria Hotel, The Rockaway Hotel + Spa, The Long Island Marriott, Hampton Inn & Suites Rockville Center, and Best western Mill River Manor.

Are kids invited?

Answer

The invitations will not be extended to children with the exception of the ringer bearer and flower girl.
