Officiant
Ryan is the reason Steven and Kiersten met! He was having a birthday party for his dog/Blues winning the Stanley Cup party (much to Kiersten's dismay). S&K were joined at the hip the whole party and went on their first official date two days later. Thanks Ryan! ;)
Man of Honor
I have known Kevin since we were in 1st grade. Our birthdays are very close together and being that they were in the summer, we were 2 of only a handful of students who celebrated towards the end of the school year. I'll bring the juice, you bring the cupcakes! Even after I moved away from Maryland in 2006 Kevin and I have kept in touch and I am truly so grateful for his friendship after all these miles and all these years.
Maid of Honor
Kristen and I met in college, likely as freshmen and at some party, but we were mostly just acquaintances. I knew who she was, she knew who I was. We went to a really small school! But we did not really become friends until our senior year, 2nd semester! She had just come back from a study abroad semester in Scotland and ended up as a roommate in my quad. We hit it off fast and we were basically inseparable the rest of the school year. We have explored National Parks together and completed a triathlon together. Adventure buddies for life!
Best Man
Bridesmaid
Emily is my sister and one of my closest friends. But she wasn't always. She used to be my annoying younger sister. And I her annoying older sister. (I am sure she probably still thinks that sometimes.) We didn't grow up with a traditional close sibling relationship. We have an 8 year age gap, and growing up that was pretty evident. You wouldn't know it now though. We have grown closer in these last few years and I couldn't be more grateful to have her by my side.
Bridesmaid
I met Emma at Outdoor Ed. This was an overnight trip that all of the 5th graders from both of the elementary schools in the area took together before merging for 6th grade. It was an opportunity to come together and meet the people you would spend middle school and high school with. I remember walking through the woods with some of my Monocacy Elementary School friends when to my left I hear "Hi! I'm Emma!". Fast forward to seventh grade (I missed most of 6th, stupid cancer!) and my locker was one locker away from Emma's. We've been friends ever since.
