Soccer is a common way for us to hang out with friends. Minnesota United plays at Allianz Field, check in once they've released their season to see if they'll be playing while you're here!
A gorgeous lake with great walking/running/biking paths. We actually came here before we graduated college, and when we moved to Minneapolis, realized we were mere blocks from the lovely date we took. We took some of our engagement photos here to memorialize what this lake has meant to us <3
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the cities- and that's saying something, because the Twin Cities' food scene is TERRIBLY underrated. Find fantastic cocktails and mocktails here, as well as the best yucca fries around.
Our local movie theater is near and dear to us. We've spent many a Tuesday night (read: discount night) here.
Best margaritas we've had. Ever. Also their chips and queso is delicious!
Bdote, aka Fort Snelling, is a beautiful place. You can take a walk around this sacred indigenous site where the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers meet.
If you're staying down near Northfield, this is the best spot for a snack and a drink.
Opening day for this quintessential Minnesotan experience is Thursday, August 21.
This is a quintessential Minneapolis destination. Lots of events throughout the summer take place here, and it's a great walk if you're exploring downtown or the St. Anthony neighborhood.
This is connected to Lake of the Isles and in addition to more walking/biking paths, has kayak and paddle boat rentals!
A mainstay for us! Come for the puppy dog tails, stay for the muffins, the scones, the caramel pecan rolls, the quiche, the coffee... we could go on and on.
