Flight
NYC has three airports, but we generally recommend flying into LaGuardia or JFK. It is easy to get an uber or taxi from any airport to the city but they can be pricey. If you prefer taking public transit, then we suggest flying into JFK where you can take the Airtrain to the subway.
Train
We strongly suggest using the subway to get around. It's safe, cheap, and often quicker than ubers. Just use tap to pay to get on - don't bother with the cards. To navigate just use google maps. It will tell you the nearest subway stop, the line to take, the direction on the subway, and where to get off & transfer.
Hotel
There are endless hotel options for a variety of budgets. Just look for something with good reviews that is close to the subway and you'll be able to get around the city & to the wedding reception easily! A few options are the Marriott & Aloft in downtown Brooklyn. There's also a beautiful hotel called 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge (view in banner picture above) where we had our engagement celebration dinner. If you want to stay in Manhattan, that will be easy too!
House Or Rental
There are lots of beautiful neighborhoods in Brooklyn where you can book a vacation rental. We'd recommend Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Greenpoint, or Williamsburg, but others are good too! For larger groups especially, this could be a good option. We haven't used these services recently, but our friends & family who have had positive experiences.
