Closer to the neighborhood where the action is, The Plant has some great local shops and food, Voodoo Queen has the strongest drinks in the area, Champ Burger is Houston's oldest burger joint, Buffalo Bayou has some walking trails, catch a local punk rock set at House of J or maybe afterparty at Bauhaus.
