Groom
Kieran knows when he's found a good thing and when to lock it down.
Bride
Katie can’t wait to listen to Kieran’s bad jokes for the rest of her life.
Best Man
Tim and Kieran grew up together. As such, they are much more like brothers than cousins. Tim has shown Kieran how to cook good food, drink good beer and be a good dude. Tim is a Dodgers fan, because we all need to have some character flaw.
Groomsman
Brian and Kieran met in first period freshman year literature class. When they realized they also had the same second period environmental science class they figured they may as well get to know each other since they'd be spending time together anyway. Years passed and among other notable moments of friendship, pants were borrowed for special occasions, couches were slept on, and groomsman bios were blatantly plagiarized from the other's wedding (sorry). Kieran asked Brian to be a groomsman, and Brian is very much excited for Kieran and Katie's wedding and celebration of their love and is doing his best to not drop the ball here.
Groomsman
Ferd and Kieran met in the Newman Center at college. They both like beer and coffee, so it was a pretty natural fit for a friendship. Ferd is now in residency to be a pediatrician and is ready to field calls from Kieran at all hours for a check up on whether this bump is something to worry about or not. It's probably fine.
Groomsman
Once a boy, not fully a man until he met the embrace of his dear-hearted noble friend, Kieran. Just as two Homers in a donut shop would gaze upon the devilishly delectable temptation of a sprinkled pink glazed donut, so did Kieran and Michael into each other’s souls. The two met in JVC and were instant friends after Kieran and his housemates hosted the first party of the year. Gathered around the pillar of golden spewing silver, the two chanted and cheered as a crab hat was placed atop guests heads and the champagne of beers was shared. After all, you don’t win friends with salad. Since that first beermosa, they have grown in their friendship sharing ideas, a love of history, endless jokes, and dare I say it...a cry or two? Michael could not be happier to welcome Katie into this bizarre bromance.
Groomsman
Kevin has a surprisingly nuanced opinion on George Will.
Person of Honor
Smith is Katie’s younger sibling. They live at home in Baltimore with the best cat this side of the New Jersey Turnpike.
Bridesmaid
Nia is a criminal defense attorney in NYC. She has been friends (and often roommates) with Katie since they were first-year students at Sarah Lawrence College. When Nia is not cloistered away at her desk, she enjoys knitting, jogging, and brunch. She is very excited to participate in Katie and Kieran's wedding celebration!
Bridesmaid
Alex is a social worker living in Pittsburgh with her 3 wilting snake plants. Alex and Kieran became friends during their year of service with the JVC in Baltimore. That year Alex learned how to make an egg sandwich a la Kieran, while Kieran learned how to make Alex cry with a perfectly timed pun. When Alex first witnessed Katie going pun-to-pun with Kieran, she knew Kieran had found a keeper. Now Alex is happy to count Katie among her friends, and even happier that Kieran and Katie are getting hitched.
Bridesmaid
Martha's a fan of karaoke, beer, and running, so it’s no surprise that Kieran and Martha became fast friends during their time in JVC. Over the last two years, Martha and Katie have blossomed a beautiful friendship, sharing in their mutual love of learning, sense of adventure, and passion for promoting peace. If during the reception, you find yourself in need of a laugh, a hug, or heart-to-heart, come find Martha. With her masters degree in small talk and minor in back-up dancing she is perfectly prepared for the role of a bridesmaid. She's got Ginuwine dance skills so she plans to be on the dance floor all night. She is excited to celebrate the love of two of her best friends.
Bridesmaid
Emma Winters works in communications in New York City. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and writing. She first met Katie and Kieran at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Emma was Katie’s sponsor when she entered the Catholic Church on Easter 2019. Emma is so grateful to have found two friends through the RCIA process.
Bridesmaid
Rebekah is Katie’s cousin, and as such has known her all her life. Rebekah is a skilled martial artist, so if anyone gets out of line on the big day, she’ll be on security detail.
