We first met at a 311 preshow meet up in New Orleans, LA. We had known of each other because of Rachel’s sister Angela and future brother in law Joe. Little did we know that when we met for the first time our friendship would eventually turn into something more. We started to talk over the phone which then turned into long FaceTime calls and then a long distance relationship. With many trips back and forth from coast to coast Rachel made her way with her cat Dani to the east coast and together we made a place to call home.

We drove down to a park Blue Mountain Reservation in Peekskill, NY where we planned to spend the morning walking trails and getting some fresh air. As we passed a big rock formation Kiel decided to climb up so I could take a picture of him. He then asked me to climb up as well to join him. Almost everyone knows I’m scared of heights but he insisted I come up to check out the view so I made my way up, legs a little wobbly but the view at the top made it worth it. As I looked around admiring the view, I turned back towards Kiel and he was down on one knee. He asked and I said yes and now here we are!
