We are so excited to share Kiawah Island with you! Rachel has been coming to Kiawah Island with her family for most of her life, and it was the first trip her and Scott took together. It has remained one of our favorite places and we cannot wait to get married here and celebrate with all of you! Below are a few recommendations on how to enjoy your time on the island.

Kiawah Island Bike Rentals

Roy Barth Tennis Center

Kiawah is the South Carolina tennis resort that outperforms the rest—earning top accolades for our facilities and instruction year-after-year. Named after our Director of Tennis Emeritus, the completely renovated Roy Barth Tennis Center is now under the direction of Roy’s son, Jonathan, who will carry on his father’s respected legacy of emphasizing key fundamentals to take your skills to the next level. For an unsurpassed player experience, we offer 22 tennis courts, including ten new Har-Tru clay courts, all tucked into the resort’s stunning surroundings and bordered by fragrant oleander, rustling palmettos, swaying pampas grass and vibrant flowers.

Freshfields is a short drive off the island and a great spot for restaurants, bars, and some light shopping. A few restaurants in this list are located here.

The Nest Market | Café

Located in the heart of Night Heron Park, The Nest Market | Café offers fresh-baked goods prepared on site, specialty coffees, gourmet made-to-order sandwiches, a selection of groceries, including beer and wine, and a wide selection of retail items. On-site dining is also available indoors or on the sprawling, oak-shaded porch. Enjoy comfort foods in a casual atmosphere.

Café Eugenia - Kiawah Island - Freshfields Village

209 Farm Lake View Road, Johns Island, SC 29455

Cafe Eugenia is a gourmet market and cafe open for breakfast and lunch. A casual spot that looks like it is a straight out of Nancy Meyer's movie. Serving assorted pastries, breakfast sandwiches, salads, charcuterie boards, bubbly and more!

Signature Gourmet Coffee Shop at the Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is pleased to present the newest addition to our dining collection, Signature Gourmet Coffee Shop. Open daily, guests will find a gourmet coffee selection as well as fresh pastries from our nationally recognized Executive Pastry Chef, hot and cold breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and an assortment of grab-and-go breakfast options. Reminiscent of a favorite corner coffee shop, dining options include carry-out or dine-in at counter seats equipped with outlets to charge laptops and hand-held devices. A carefully curated retail selection of sundries and retail items are also available for purchase.

Cherrywood BBQ & Ale House

Cherrywood BBQ & Ale House serves up top-quality meats smoked over local hardwoods, rubbed with signature seasonings and dripping with tangy, house-made sauces. The restaurant’s selection of more than 60 local, imported, draft and craft beers are the perfect complement to the authentic BBQ dishes. Rounding out the menu are hearty appetizers, soups, salads and desserts.

The Ryder Cup Bar at the Ocean Course

Whether you’re gathering your foursome for a post-round drink, grabbing a casual lunch with family on the veranda, or toasting the sunset over the ocean, the Ryder Cup Bar is your perfect gathering place.
