Our story actually began long before we realized it. We both attended Delaware State University and crossed paths more than once—but somehow, we never really spoke. It turns out timing has a sense of humor too. Fast forward to DE Alpha Weekend in 2022 at Thousand Acres Farm in Middletown, Delaware. We finally had a brief conversation… emphasis on brief (Khalil definitely got dubbed 😅). He asked for my number, and I gave him my Instagram instead—because, priorities. Then came Homecoming. As the night was winding down, I heard a bit of ruckus over on the Sigma plot. When I asked who it was, the answer was: Khalil. Naturally, I went over to calm things down—and surprisingly, I succeeded. We decided to take a walk to decompress and ended up in Conwell, talking through everything that had happened. Somewhere in that quiet moment, Khalil made a very sneaky move and leaned in for a quick kiss. And just like that… everything changed. By the end of the night, we finally exchanged numbers, started texting, and began dating. From that moment on, we’ve been inseparable. What started as missed connections, a little chaos, and one bold kiss turned into a love we’re endlessly grateful for—and now, a forever we can’t wait to begin together.
