We met through our now Brother-In-Law and Groomsman, Thomas. I, Khala, went with my sister, Katrina, to visit Thomas during his combat training in the Marines. This is where we met his buddy from training, Chase. He didn't even glance in my direction all weekend! That could have been the end of our story right there though a month later we visited during another portion of their training. We had activities planned for the four of us while they had the weekend off from training and Chase was more talkative this time around. We were sitting and eating lunch one day and he made a random Disney joke (referenced Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.)! Disney fans everywhere swooned! Haha, as did I. The rest is history. We met in North Carolina, the connection was made in South Carolina, Chase is from Maryland, Khala from Pennsylvania and we spent the first year traveling back and forth from Virginia where Chase was living. It only took conquering a good portion of the East Coast but we would do it all again in a heartbeat!
