Our wedding ceremony will be live streamed at the following site: www.facebook.com/solomiophoto on Saturday October 9th at 5:30 EST. While this is a Facebook page, you should not have to make an account to view the stream.
Currently Covid numbers are on the rise, especially in the state of Florida. We are monitoring numbers but are currently not postponing the wedding with the event being held outdoors and expecting under 50 people in attendance. We strongly urge guests to be fully vaccinated and will have masks available for guests to use. We understand that some guests may choose to not attend for personal safety concerns, we support your personal health decisions and only ask that you let us know if you change your plans so we can have final attendee numbers for our vendors. As a reminder, we will be live-streaming the wedding if you choose to not attend. Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions. Key West is a pretty small island which is easy to navigate by bike, moped, or taxi services so you will be able to get around wherever you stay. The western side of the island is a happening place with lots of restaurants, bars, and more. Most after dark activity in Key West occurs along Duval St., especially the section northwest of Truman Ave. You will notice that a lot of places to stay near Duval St. and the Historic District are a little pricier and have very limited parking options (most of the island has parking limitations). You should try and get a spot here if you are planning on doing a lot of walking around from your hotel/rental property!
As the gardens are so close to the pier, beaches and many hotels, we encourage you to uber, bike, or walk to the gardens; but if you need to drive, free parking is available just outside the Gardens. If you plan to continue the party with us after the reception please consider using an Uber or something of the sort to arrive.
Although, we love and adore your kids we are asking that guests take advantage of this time as a vacation for the adults. We do understand sometimes it is not possible and ask that you have a plan for the day of the ceremony and reception. Please consider Key West is a lot of fun for everyone, but the night time activities offered are not kid friendly.
The last time we were in Key West (Oct-Nov 2014) it was warm enough to wear summer clothes with a few "chilly" days. https://www.keywesttravelguide.com/travel-planning/what-to-pack/
