Robert and Liz's story begins as any proper Navy couple starts; drunk, on detachment, and with someone in a relationship. In the beginning they hardly knew each other except for in passing at work until one fateful detachment to Fallon, NV where they began making pterodactyl noises in the hangar and playing drinking games until the wee hours of the morning. As luck, or fate, would have it their squadron had an upcoming detachment to a whimsical, carefree place full opportunities for love to grow... Key West! Attempting to stay out of trouble, Liz and Robert made plans to play Beerio Kart and lay low during their Key West detachment, which obviously didn't work! In true fashion, Key West offered a trove of treasures and adventures from the beautiful Dry Tortuga's to whimsical gardens and spooky museums. Each day they explored paradise together and every night they went out with friends to experience the nightlife. Throughout this time, Liz made valiant efforts in being Robert's wing-man by attempting to hook him up with other women including failed attempts with a woman from a different squadron and a stripper named “Fox!” To Robert's dismay Liz took awhile to realize they had something unique between them; however, when the lightbulb went off there hasn't been a single moment where she regretted telling him “if we date I know I will fall in love with you.”

The detachment ended and they headed home which is where Robert would like to say they were together but there was still one problem, Liz was in a relationship. Whether it was the constant annoyance or the timely demise of a relationship that wasn't working out, Robert's persistence payed off and she conceded to his demands. With under half a year left in the Navy and less than two months of being a couple they moved in together (which started as a joke)! After living together for maybe a month, drunk Robert mustered up the courage to mutter “I thinks I love yous” as he passed out (which was gone from his memory the next morning) and so began their journey together... We are elated to finally make our way back to Key West, where it all started, to get married and celebrate with you!
