Keyera and Skylor met fairly early on in college but didn’t really get to know each other until they both went on a mission trip together in Mahahual, Mexico January of 2020. From there, instant sparks brought the two together. Over the trip, Skylor took notice of Keyera's energy and saw that it was fun-loving and free-spirited. While traveling, she was in her element and that took her from a quiet and shy gal to a happy and outgoing soul. Her attitude and presence brightened up any room and that is when Skylor started to fall for her. Keyera took notice of Skylor’s ability to carry on a conversation with anyone and make them feel included. She immediately fell for his warm heart and kind, caring personality. Building a relationship through lockdown 500 miles apart from one another wasn’t easy. It wasn’t a typical start to a love story, but with everything that kept them apart, there was always a pull between them that kept them coming back to each other. Fast forward three and a half years, Skylor proposed on a cliffside in Alaska!

Currently, Keyera is an operation room nurse in Rochester, MN and Skylor is a firefighter in Lakeville, MN! They are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives together in Minnesota where Keyera will continue working as a nurse and Skylor will pursue his career in firefighting.
