If you need something to do inside, this museum is wonderful. Absolutely worth it. Kevin and my dad are both BIG fans.
Walk through the Oaks with a cup of coffee (or a bloody mary, whatever).
One of Kev and I's favorite outdoor bars/hang spot! When we we're on clinical rotations in NOLA, we spent alot of time here. It's kind of out of the way, keep that in mind.
We've never done this but.... if you're interested.
Local bars, jazz spots... where you want to go out instead of Bourbon Street.
A hodge podge of shops/markets with local vendors and artists. In the French Quarter, an easy walk from Jackson Square.
One of the best ways to get around NOLA- bikes. You can bike all throughout the city, just be careful with all of our famous pot holes :)
You can rent bikes in downtown Covington and ride to the Abita Brewery, it's a 1/2 day outing if you have the time.
Beers on Lake Pontchartrain, what could get better? It's a great spot to hang.
