The Art Institute of Chicago
This is one of Kevin's favorite places to spend time on a rainy day (or a sunny one)! During our years as Northwestern students, we were able to visit for free.
Skydeck Chicago
For the dare devils, Skydeck Chicago is a thrilling experience. Anja and Kevin went here on one of their first dates, so most of their nerves weren’t related to a fear of heights. See photo for confirmation that it was too early on for any type of physical contact.
Navy Pier
One of the most frequented tourist attractions in Chicago, Navy Pier is home to the famous ferris wheel. Between Memorial and Labor Day, they also set off fireworks on Wednesday and Saturday nights. No entry fee!
North Avenue Beach
Anja and Kevin frequented North Avenue Beach when they lived in Lincoln Park. It's one of the prettiest beaches in Chicago, and it's free!
Lincoln Park Zoo
Anja used to live across the street from Lincoln Park Zoo, so she and Kevin went on a lot of long walks here. Oh yeah, did we mention that it's free?
Lincoln Park Conservatory
The conservatory in Lincoln Park (located right next to Lincoln Park Zoo) is another spot that Anja and Kevin frequented on weekends in LP. We promise it’ll be a great (and free) way to spend some time.
Wrigley Field
Whether you'd like to catch a Cubs game or quickly snap some photos in front of the stadium, Wrigley field is a must-see. And it's where Anja and Kevin became officially official. Anja still uses their photo from this day as Kevin's contact picture in her phone.

For guests driving from Ohio, a White Sox game is on the way into the city. Who doesn’t love a baseball game?
The 606
The 606 is a 2.7-mile elevated greenway running east-west on the northwest side of Chicago, near Anja and Kevin's home in Wicker Park. Formerly a railroad line, the 606 is great for running, biking, rollerblading, or going on strolls with your mother (which is how Anja and Kevin frequently spend their time when their moms come to visit).
Janitor’s Closet
Anja's bridesman, Janek, used to bartend at this unique speakeasy, which specializes in fancy cocktails. Ask one of us for tips on how to find it!
