Tulum Airport TQO

Tulum has a beautiful airport that is only 30 minutes away from Tulum city. We would recommend looking at flights in advance to save some money and guarantee travel times you prefer! You can order a taxi, buy a ticket to a bus or your hotel might offer transportation to your lodging.

Cancun International Airport CUN

Cancun is about a 1.5 hour (without traffic) or 2 hour (with traffic) drive to Tulum. You might find a cheaper flight into this airport, but you must account for transportation to Tulum. You could schedule a ride via bus and book ahead of time or rent a car and drive south. It is a fairly easy drive and the roads are pretty well maintained along the way. Beware - you will likely have cars or motorcycles passing you on either side - this is normal and we recommend continuing to go with the flow! It isn'st nearly as dangerous as driving in Omaha...

House Or Rental

La Veleta

La Veleta is a great neighborhood about a 10 minute drive southwest of the main strip of Tulum. It is a little bit quieter and considered the "Airbnb" district of Tulum. This is where the wedding will be hosted and there are plenty of nearby bnbs available within walking distance! Some of the side roads are just a tad bit bumpy with dirt roads and construction happening all around. However, it is safe to walk around during the day and evening with a plethora of restaurants, cafes, shops, boutiques and bars to explore. This location is also about a 10-15 minute drive to the beach and surrounded by plenty of trees and greenery.
