The CD Cafe
Feeling something a little more upscale for dinner, your first night in town? Head over Solomon's Island to pick the CD Cafe; a weekly staple in the Miller household when Matthew and I were growing up. Try Matthew's favorite, the Honey Blackened Salmon, or mine, the Shrimp Alfredo; but really, you won't go wrong no matter what you order! Finally, while there, thank the staff for feeding Dad every night when Mom is out of town (shhhh!).
Calvert Cliffs State Park
Calvert Cliffs State Park is one of my and mom's favorite places to go on a morning walk in Southern Maryland. Get out the morning of the wedding to take in the beauty of SoMD, burn a few calories, and maybe even find a shark tooth!
Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House Museum
Visit the Historic Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House Museum for a little taste of southern Maryland history. Dr. Mudd was imprisoned for conspiring with John Wilkes Booth in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln; however, was pardoned by President Andrew Johnson a few short years later. A fun fact: Dr. Mudd is Morgan's great great great grandfather and her grandmother, Mrs. Keller, was born and raised in the house!
