Flight
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the best airport to fly into. It is about a 25-30 minute drive from La Jolla. La Jolla Village is a very walkable neighborhood so if you decide to forgo renting a car for the weekend, you will be totally ok walking to the beach and nearby restaurants throughout your trip. If you are making a longer trip of the visit, we recommend a rental car, because public transport is not the most efficient in San Diego, and there are a lot of great spots to visit outside of La Jolla as well.
Hotel
La Valencia is a La Jolla icon and a wonderful option for an upscale visit. It offers gorgeous ocean views in the heart of La Jolla Village, and even if you are not staying here, it is a great spot to grab a bite to eat or a cocktail (consider making a reservation for their AMAZING brunch). Please note that they do require a two night minimum stay.
Hotel
The Grande Colonial is a beautiful hotel that is about a 15 minute drive from our venue. It is in the heart of La Jolla Village and walking distance to all the restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques in that area. Please note that they require a two night minimum stay for guests checking in on August 16, so this is a great option for those that plan to stay in town Friday night as well, and want to spend time exploring La Jolla.
Hotel
This San Diego Marriott is about a ten minute drive from our venue and a great budget-friendly option. It is in a more eastern area of La Jolla, near UTC Mall. It is not a walking area, but if you want to do any last minute shopping, UTC is Maura and Kevin's favorite mall and offers great restaurant options as well (Din Tai Fung is a must try).
House Or Rental
San Diego also has a lot of great Airbnb options. We would recommend narrowing your search to La Jolla Village or La Jolla Shores to see options closest to the venue.
