On Mallory's second day of work at Discover Strength, she met Kevin. He came into work after calling in "sick" on her first day of work and he walked right past her and straight into the back room. Of course, she thought he must be a slacker. It didn't take long for her to realize he was actually extremely hardworking, and if you took the time to break past his shell, he was kind, funny, and intelligent. After working together for awhile, they finally had to admit there was a connection and the rest was history.

We had just started a long weekend out of town in Chicago. After walking around Millennium Park past the bean, they made their way over to the gorgeous Buckingham Fountain. Kevin went over to grab an older gentleman that was taking photographs, handed him my phone, and surprised us both by getting down on his knee to ask the question. Of course, Mallory said "yes" and was ecstatic! The kind man that took their photos was just as excited and shared that he had been married for 50 years and was so excited for us to start our lives together. The rest of the weekend was spent celebrating and enjoying lots of delicious food, celebratory drinks, and lots of sightseeing.
