Shuttles from Bread Loaf Campus and Pink House Farm will be provided on Saturday, October 5th. There is no parking for personal cars at the wedding location. All guests are required to take the shuttles provided. If you are not staying at Bread Loaf Campus and you are unsure which shuttle to take, please plan to use the Pink House Farm shuttle. Shuttle Schedule Departure Times: Bread Loaf Campus Pick-Up Time: Promptly at 1:50 PM The shuttle will pick up outside the Event Barn at Bread Loaf Campus Please be ready to load the buses at 1:50 PM This is the only shuttle to the wedding, so arrive on time! The Pink House Farm Pick-Up Time: Promptly at 2:30 PM The shuttle will pick up at the Pink House. Please be ready to load the buses at 2:30 PM This is the only shuttle to the wedding, so arrive on time! Shuttle Return Times: Shuttles will leave from the ceremony venue at 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm if you'd like to leave early, and at the end of the event at 11:00 pm.
Hotel
Growing up, Lindsey’s family spent every weekend of every winter skiing at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl while renting a house on the nearby Bread Loaf Campus in Ripton, Vermont. Memories of — and love for — the surrounding Green Mountains run deep. The scenic campus is owned by Middlebury College, and hosts Middlebury's Bread Loaf School of English and the Bread Loaf Writers Conference. It is an absolutely stunning campus with sweeping views and a cozy vibe. Over a dozen houses surround an iconic inn with dormitory-style rooms. The grounds are large enough that you can share in camaraderie with others, or find some peace and solace to yourself or with a smaller group. Near campus there are a number of trails, including the lovely Robert Frost Interpretive trail. Rooms are around $100/night/person and will include full breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. Guests are strongly encouraged to stay here — this will be the main gathering spot outside of the wedding and we will have shuttles to and from the wedding venue. We’ll have a welcome party here Friday night. Please bear in mind that there will be no parking at the wedding ceremony and reception. The wedding day shuttles will operate from two locations: Bread Loaf Campus and Pink House Farm (on Ridge Road in Cornwall). If you are staying at Bread Loaf Campus, please use that location's shuttle. If you have chosen to stay at a location different from Bread Loaf Campus, you are still required to use the provided shuttles to and from the wedding from one of the two locations.
Flight
There are a few airports within driving distance of Middlebury, Vermont. The closest is Burlington International Airport (BTV), about an hour drive away. You can also fly into Montreal (about a 2.5-hour drive away) or Boston (about a 3.5-hour drive away). To get from any of these airports to Middlebury, you can rent a car or coordinate a private shuttle. Ubers and cabs are not reliable in this area.
Train
Amtrak recently added a direct train from New York City (Penn Station) to Middlebury, VT (MBY). The station in Middlebury is a 10-minute walk from the Middlebury Inn. You can book tickets using the link below. Please note that rental car options may be limited in Middlebury. We strongly recommend renting a car or coordinating a private shuttle. Ubers and cabs are not available in this area.
