Maid of Honor
We have been very best friends since we met--I was 14 and Candace was 16. She is the only friend I've ever flown on an airplane with, and that's as real as a friendship can get. She is the reason public bathroom stalls give me anxiety, but I love her still, and forevermore. Anyone who knows Candace knows how lucky I am to call her my best friend!
Best Man
The best brother I’ve ever had, never mind that he’s my only brother...Kenny is one of the funniest, kindest, loving, and strongest people I know! He’s always been there for me and I’ll always be there for him! Love him to the moon and back, and there’s never been a doubt that he’d be my best man when I finally tricked someone into marrying me ;-)
Bridesmaid
Hartley is my travel-sister-from-another-mister. She flew to Australia when I moved there 5 years ago and helped me settle in "down unda", making her the only friend I've traveled with internationally! This girl knows how to make any party fun and can body roll and hair flip with the best of them. Keep an eye out for that move on the dance floor at the reception. ;)
Groomsman
One of my very best friends since 2007 and the only reason that I’ve ever met a cow face to face. We lived together during the college years and that’s definitely what solidified our friendship. And a long time ago I was in Cody’s wedding, and now it’s FINALLY time for him to be in mine.
Bridesmaid
We became fast friends while serving mediocre food to the people of Tallahassee, Florida at a fine establishment known as Applebee's. The particular restaurant we worked at has long since been demolished, but our bond will never die. Shelby has a heart of gold and I'm so happy that life brought us together!
Groomsman
First off, sorry Amber for cropping you out of the photo, it was either you or Elle, can you blame me for choosing the cute baby?! Now onto one of the most famous Greeks I know, Nick Bevela*insert throat clearing sounds* — which is how I pronounced his name for the first 6 months I knew him. All jokes aside though, Nick’s actually a proud Italian, but still make sure to ask him if he’s sure he’s not Greek.
Bridesmaid
In high school we used to sneak out of her younger sister's window to go to Walmart... such rebels! I stood by her when she got married in 2006, and I never would have guessed it would take SO LONG for her to be able to return the favor, but HERE WE ARE PEOPLE! Kalena is that foreva eva kinda friend no matter what. (Plus she knows way too much about me).
Groomsman
What can I say about Alex Kendall that the history books aren’t already going to say about him? I mean the man has his own color named after him! A man of many talents and many volumes, he’s always been someone I can rely on for a laugh & rely on in general. Except for that one time he threw a black cat at me indoors...
Bridesmaid
Freya and I used to carpool to violin lessons in middle school on Saturday mornings; I don't think we ever said a word to each other. Fast forward a couple of years to high school and we became the BEST of friends! I still have most of the CD's she burned for me and decorated with colorful permanent markers, and we must have passed a hundred notes between classes at Lincoln High School.
Groomsman
Whatever you do...don’t stand in front of Ruder if he’s about to kick a soccer ball...he’s still a wanted man in Kansas! But other than that he’s pretty cool I suppose. Actually, I must confess, he’s really cool; & I would know! Because our friendship was most definitely forged during our time living together when I had to walk through his room to get to mine...somethings just can’t be unseen.
Bridesmaid
Our friendship goes way back to the awkward years of early teenagedom. We listened to emo music, crushed on boys, made embarrassing home videos with our friends... but I wouldn't trade it for the world! She stood by me through my still-learning-how-to-use-eyeliner-properly phase, and I'm so excited to now have her standing by me on my wedding day! (Hopefully my eyeliner has improved).
Groomsman
The man. The myth. The legend. Beau is a one of a kind individual! He’s honest, fair, and a true friend that I wish I knew before our college years... truly one of the funniest people I know! I mean the man dressed up as a banana one Halloween and it was one of the greatest things to ever happen to the little town of Greeley, CO! “IM A BANANA!”
Bridesmaid
Brooke and I were roommates while she was getting her Masters Degree in opera at Florida State University. She was 26 when we met and I thought that was SO old at the time, HAHA! She is not the animal lover I am by any stretch, yet still put up with my dog, cat, cockatiel, and 7 rabbits I acquired throughout our years living together. GOD BLESS HER. I owe ya one, Brooke!
Groomsman
Doug Simkins hates the Chicago Cubs. This is the opposite of the truth, but now that it’s on the internet, doesn’t that make it true? Besides his love for the Windy City...Doug has a huge soft spot in his heart for his friends. Which I, thankfully, am one of...& I/we still like him despite all his antics in college.
