we are getting married!

Kevin was in the Air Force and had been stationed in Hawaii for several years. Keri went on vacation in Hawaii and unpacked her bags, deciding to make the island her new home. Before the universe brought us together, we had both been soaking up the Hawaiian sunshine, enjoying island life, and casually dating less than exciting people. We both had just experienced some pretty lame human beings we found through Tinder, and were both ready to delete the app altogether, but decided to give it one more shot. Thank goodness we did! All it took was one first date over Japanese BBQ and we were both hooked. Keri may have been a bit more gun shy after her previous Tinder experience, but it didn't take long for her to realize that Kevin was so much different in all of the right ways. Since then, we have been inseparable. Two months after our first date Kevin invited Keri to be his date to his friend's wedding in Colorado (thank you David and Allie for letting Kevin bring a last-minute random girl haha), where we first said "I love you" to each other in the mountains of Breckenridge, under the stars. Fast forward two years, and a couple of big cross country moves later, and here we are getting married ourselves! So glad we both swiped right.

First off, let’s get one thing straight, we met in the magical and romantic land of Hawaii. But, secondly, we had to match on Tinder first. Our first date was at a Japanese BBQ restaurant called Gyu-Kaku. And as far as first dates go, it was pretty perfect, so much so that I couldn’t stop smiling my whole drive back home. I’d honestly never felt so sure about anything in my entire life! Then all it took was a few more dates and couple more beautiful Hawaii moments before we were falling head over heels for each other!
