Kevin and Kelsie eclipsed each other for much of their lives, growing up in neighboring towns in central Ohio and never meeting. In 2016, they both attended training to be volunteers with the Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio, seeing each other but never speaking directly (Kevin says he was too intimidated to approach her). After that, they ran into each other on the Ohio State University campus, but still did not speak. Finally, they connected on a dating app and began to chat, but did not meet in person again until February 2017 (Kevin says Kelsie "ghosted" him, Kelsie says she was in organic chemistry and too busy). After their first date on February 17th 2017, Kelsie knew this was it for her, that he was something different. After a few months of dating, Kelsie was accepted to the University of Michigan for graduate school, and Kevin was all in. They took a chance and moved in together after dating for six months, but every day was (and is) a joy. They have lived and loved together for the last five years, and look forward to many, many more.
