Kevin and Kayla met in June of 2020 when Kayla joined Kevin's sand volleyball team through their mutual friend, Julie. Kevin and Kayla hit it off right away when they started talking and realized how much they had in common! About a month after they met, Kevin asked Kayla to go to Rosalita's with him for dinner before volleyball. Two days after their first date Kayla and Kevin had a 13 hour date which started with a 6:30am pickup by Kevin so they could get to the Soulard's Farmer's Market as soon as they opened at 7:00am (before some of the vendors were even set up) and ended with dinner at Dewey's for pizza. And the rest, as they say, was history.

- We both went to Mizzou and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering - After graduating from Mizzou we both moved to Kansas City - In 2018, we both moved back to St. Louis - We are both one of four kids (each with two boys and two girls) - When we met, we had the same number of nieces and nephews (although we've been lucky enough to add to those numbers over the past four years, so this is no longer the case) - We each had a black Honda Civic as our first car - We both played the alto saxophone in jazz band in high school - We both attended the Citrus Bowl in 2015 (Kayla as part of marching band and Kevin as a spectator. It also happens to be the site of our first picture together) - We both love to travel! So far we have been to 25 states and the US Virgin Islands together! - We both love rock climbing - doing the climbing and spectating! Not only do we climb at the gym together, but we also got to go outdoor climbing on our trip to Joshua Tree National Park last year, and got to go to spectate the U.S. Climbing World Cup in Salt Lake City this May!
