We plan to spend as much time outside as possible! Our Friday night welcome event and Saturday cocktail hour will be outside. Our Saturday reception will be under a tent.
In September in Stockton Springs, the average high is around 71°F and the average low is about 53°F—though temperatures in New England can certainly vary! Since the wedding events will be held on the water, you can expect a cool coastal breeze, especially in the afternoon and early evening—so we recommend bringing some light layers just in case!
We strongly recommend getting a rental car since Uber/Lyft are not readily available. This will allow you to easily explore the area and enjoy what Maine has to offer. All of our wedding festivities will be held at French's Point. We will be providing transportation from the recommended hotels on both Friday and Saturday.
Yes! There’s plenty of parking available at the estate. When you arrive, just follow the signs for Guest Parking, located to the right of the Retreat House.
The dress code on Friday is coastal cocktail—Gentlemen: Khakis or dress pants with a button-down shirt; jackets are optional, and no ties are necessary. Ladies: Dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, or anything festive and comfortable that suits an outdoor setting. On Saturday, the wedding attire will be semi-formal with a coastal twist! For the gentlemen: a jacket is encouraged, but it doesn’t need to match or be part of a full suit. For the ladies: dresses, jumpsuits, or other festive wear are perfect. September on the coast of Maine brings ocean breezes, golden light, and slightly cooler temps as the sun sets, so be sure to bring an extra layer!
