Peruvian Tourism

The Wedding Website of Kevin Shectman and Gonzalo Dancuart
We encourage you to add a few days (or weeks!) to explore Peru and South America. Below you can find some of the main sights and attractions we recommend exploring. We'll be glad to put you in contact with travel companies or help you plan. P.S: reach out to G for any help using your miles and points for any bookings!
Lima

Lima

Lima, Callao Region, Peru

Lima is the largest city in Peru and serves as the political, cultural, financial, and culinary heart of the country. Be sure to explore the different districts and their unique vibes: Miraflores (waterfront), Barranco (bohemian), and San Isidro (cosmopolitan). Lima is arguably most famous for its food scene. It's consistently ranked among the top culinary destinations in the world! We recommend booking Maido and Osaka (Japanese); La Picanteria and El Mercado (Ceviche); Huaca Pucllana, Panchita, Central, and Isolina (Peruvian).

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu

Cusco, Peru

Cusco and Machu Picchu (one of the New Seven Wonders!) are by far the #1 tourist destination in Peru and a must-see in your life. We recommend setting aside 3-4 days to explore everything the region has to offer.

Máncora

Máncora

Máncora, Piura, Peru

Just an hour north of Lima by plane, close to the border with Ecuador, you’ll find the beaches of Mancora. Warm water, sunny skies, and amazing ceviches await… a great way to get tanned for the wedding!

Iquitos

Iquitos

Iquitos, Loreto, Peru

When people think of the Amazon rainforest, they usually think of Brazil… but Peru is actually where the Amazon river begins! From luxury river cruises to adventure experiences, there's plenty to explore here (just watch out for the Anacondas).
