FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that guests dress in Formal attire. Think: suit & tie, dress, or elegant pantsuit. Please note that all events will be taking place outdoors on the lawn. We suggest opting for grass-friendly footwear like block heels, wedges, or flats to ensure you're comfortable from the ceremony to the dance floor.

Question

What will the weather be like in Lima?

Answer

April is a beautiful time to visit! You can look forward to mostly sunny days. Expect daytime temperatures in the mid to high 70s and evenings in the mid 60s.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be provided for international guests who are staying at a hotel. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the event.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Seating will begin at 4:00pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. Note that the wedding is taking place ~45 minutes away from the hotels in Miraflores. Please plan accordingly and account for Lima traffic!

Question

Do I need a visa to travel to Peru?

Answer

U.S. citizens do not need a visa. Don't forget to bring your passport!

Question

Will my chargers work in Peru?

Answer

Mostly! Peru uses 220V (the U.S. uses 120V). Most modern tech (e.g. iPhones, Laptops) are "dual-voltage" and work fine. However, single-voltage hair tools (blow dryers/straighteners) can fry. Check for "100-240V" on your device. Also, many outlets only have two holes; if your plug has a third "grounding" pin, bring a 3-to-2 prong adapter.

Question

What is the time difference between the U.S. and Peru?

Answer

Lima is 1 hour behind Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

Question

What if I cannot make it?

Answer

If you know you can't make it, please let us know as soon as you can so we can plan accordingly. You'll be missed!
