Traverse City brings good things in life together to make a place where you feel truly comfortable and where vacations feel perfect. Here, you'll find the incredible diversity and beauty across the spring, summer, fall and winter seasons. Whether you are exploring the outdoors at our Sleeping Bear Dunes, sipping our local wine, or enjoying a day at our lakeshore, each day is another chance to find yourself in a pretty great place.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Glen Arbor, MI 49664

Part of the national park system since 1970, Sleeping Bear Dunes is one of America’s most profoundly beautiful landscapes: a 64-mile curve of sweeping vistas, miles of perfect freshwater beaches, forested wilderness islands, miles of hiking trails and the paved Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, is a multi-use pathway that runs from the northern end of the park to a point just south of Empire.

There is a fantastic diversity of tasting rooms and wineries along the Traverse Wine Coast. All of the tasting rooms offer unique experiences and are relaxed, friendly (no wine snobs up here) and fun! Some even have waterside views, hiking trails and outdoor patios -- just perfect for sipping a few samples.
