Kevin and I met in March 2017 at Shellback Tavern in Manhattan Beach. For me, it was the first night out after my mom passed away in January. My good girlfriends dragged my sister, Stevie, and me out of the house for fun. Kevin was out with friends and colleagues. One of his friends approached our table and invited us to play "Flip Cup." It took a bit of convincing (haha) but eventually our tables merged, and that's when I laid eyes on Kevin... Caitlin comes over and stands across the table from me. Well, to be honest, she was kneeling on a stool and I was standing, but we locked eyes (shout out to the stool) and I instantly wanted to know more about her. Who was this beautiful little red head with a pretty smile and contagious laugh? I must know. Well that ALSO took a bit of convincing, but I’m a persistent guy, so we ended up spending the night talking and getting to know each other over cheap beer and bad music. Before Caitlin and her friends left the bar, I insisted she take my number with the hopes I’d hear from her again. The good news is I did! What seemed like just a few days later, we had our first date (at a real restaurant this time), and spent another night talking and getting to know each other. At the end of the night we parted ways, but not before a good night kiss. Although I started out a little hard to get, I said that I was going to marry Kevin two months into dating him, haha! He definitely wasn't sure as soon as I was, but I guess I grew on him. After a year and a half of dating, we moved in together, and after 2 years together, he proposed in a beautiful, romantic, and personal way. My sister Stevie was in on the entire proposal and helped Kevin set up and keep me distracted. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be marrying someone so kind, ambitious, loving, and of course, handsome :)
