Travel Note
Starting in 2025 some european countries are requiring American travelers to purchase an EITAS before traveling to their country. While Ireland is not requiring it at this time, if you plan to travel to other countries during your time in Europe it may be needed. This list shows what countries are requiring it and all the information needed to obtain your EITAS. If you also are planning on visiting Northern Ireland during your time abroad you will need an electronic travel authorization (ETA). https://www.gov.uk/eta
House Or Rental
We’re delighted that many of our guests will be able to stay on-site with us at Clonabreany House for the wedding! The venue can accommodate up to 100 guests in 10 beautiful courtyard houses, each sleeping 10 people. Clonabreany requires that we, the couple, assign the rooms—since we know everyone and can help make sure you're comfortable. Once you RSVP, we’ll start working on room assignments and will be in touch with details. To give you an idea of the cost (these are the 2024 rates, though they may increase slightly—we’ll keep you updated if anything changes): Superior en suite – €230 Standard en suite – €215 Standard room – €195 (Accommodation rates are per room based on 2 person sharing, includes breakfast) The wedding is on Wednesday and welcome party planned for Tuesday. If you’re planning to stay at the Headfort Arms Hotel instead for the duration of your stay, please let us know so we don’t reserve a room for you at Clonabreany.
Hotel
For those arriving the night before the wedding: We’ve found a nearby hotel that’s a convenient option for anyone planning to stay in the area the night before the big day. While we’re still waiting to confirm whether we’ll have access to our venue the night before (we’ll know about three months out), this hotel is a great and reliable choice for early arrivals. If you choose to stay at the Headfort Arms Hotel or another off-site location, please be sure to arrange a designated driver or schedule a taxi in advance to get you home safely after the wedding. Clonabreany is in a rural area, and transport options can be limited late at night—so planning ahead is key!
