FAQs

Question

Will there be a hotel block?

Answer

We’re thrilled to let you know that Clonabreany House offers luxury on-site accommodation in the beautifully restored Clonabreany Courtyard. The Courtyard features 10 original coaching buildings, with room for up to 100 guests sharing. We have reserved all rooms in the Clonabreany Courtyard for our wedding guests. After we finalize the bookings, we’ll send a Rooming List to the Clonabreany team to assign rooms. Once your room is confirmed, they will reach out to you directly to let you know and finalize your reservation. Check-in is from 3:00 pm, and check-out is at 11:30 am. If you have not been allocated a room in Clonabreany Courtyard there are a number of local accommodation options available which Bailey and Kevin can help you with. If you are planning to bring your children and other family members to Ireland to assist with childcare during the wedding festivities, you may find it more convenient to stay at the Headfort Arms Hotel.

Question

Can we stay at the venue the night before?

Answer

We will not know whether the venue is available the night before the wedding until approximately three months prior to the date. Our welcome party will take place in the nearby town of Navan. We have reserved a small room block at the Headfort Arms Hotel, which is just 9 minutes from the welcome party and approximately 15 minutes from the wedding venue. To book within our room block, please contact the hotel directly and mention that you are part of the Deighan–Byrne party.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to make our wedding a kid-free event. We’re so grateful for your understanding, as this allows all our guests to relax and enjoy the evening.

Question

Will parking be available?

Answer

There is plenty of on-site parking and a member of The Clonabreany staff will be at the main gate to direct you on arrival. From the main car park it is a short walk to the main reception areas. Please only park in allocated areas to facilitate access for buses, taxis, and emergency services. No parking is permitted at the front of the house except for bridal cars being used for photographs. Parking is at your own risk and cars left overnight must be collected by 1pm the following day.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Cocktail hour will be both indoors and outdoors, with the main house serving as the indoor space and the courtyard providing a beautiful outdoor extension. Our reception will be indoors, where we’ll continue the celebration in a beautiful and cozy setting. We can’t wait to celebrate with you, no matter where the festivities take place!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly request that our guests dress in summer formal attire. Ladies, feel free to wear a floor-length or midi dress—think light and airy fabrics like chiffon, silk, or lace. Gentlemen, a suit would be perfect. We kindly ask that jeans be avoided, as we’re aiming for a more polished look for this special occasion. Ultimately, we just want you to feel comfortable and stylish as we celebrate together. We can't wait to see everyone looking fantastic!

Question

How do I get to Clonabreany House?

Answer

For our guests traveling from abroad, we recommend renting a car to get to Clonabreany House, as it’s the most convenient option. Clonabreany is located approximately an hour from Dublin, just outside the village of Crossakiel, between the towns of Kells and Oldcastle in County Meath. There is no direct public transport to the venue, but Bus Eireann coaches run daily between Dublin Airport and city center to Kells. Kells is only about a 15-minute drive from Clonabreany, and there are taxi services available from there. If you're not staying on-site overnight, we recommend arranging your taxi in advance, as it may be difficult to find a ride late at night. We want to make sure everyone has a smooth journey to and from the venue, so please plan ahead for transport. If you’re looking to rent a car, a great option is Auto Europe, which offers reliable car rental services. You can visit their website here: www.autoeurope.com. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with all of our loved ones! Due to space limitations, we are keeping our guest list to those specifically invited on the invitations. We hope you understand, and we truly appreciate your support as we celebrate this special day.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We’d love for you to be fully present and enjoy the moment with us! To help everyone stay engaged, we’re requesting that our ceremony be phone-free. We’ve hired a wonderful photographer to capture the day, and we can’t wait to share those special photos with you afterward. Please feel free to take pictures during the reception and throughout the celebration, but we ask that phones be put away during the ceremony so we can all enjoy the moment together.
