On the very same day that COVID-19 shut down the world, Kevin and Kayla met for the first time. Some may consider this timing to be very unfortunate, but for Kevin and Kayla it worked out just fine. Kayla's school was shut down and she found herself doing a whole lot of nothing while quarantined in her parents' basement. Kevin had a similar level of inactivity while working from his parents' dining room table. All of this new found free time led to hours of texting and FaceTime calls. It's amazing what you can learn about someone when you spend 6 hours on FaceTime. Thankfully, the world slowly started to open back up again and Kevin and Kayla were able to safely share their love for the outdoors and hiking together. Their first 5 dates were spent hiking, walking or driving all over New England.

On a hot July day, Kevin and Kayla decided to hike up the UNH Trail to Hedgehog Mountain. Kayla's dad, Ken, decided to tag along. This is a 6 mile hike and not an easy trail, but Ken seemed to be in a great mood the ENTIRE time. He informed every single person on the trail that it "was going to be a GREAT DAY!" Kevin, on the other hand, was sprinting to the top without saying much. As they approached the first view, Kayla noticed that Ken and Kevin stepped off to the side and were whispering to each other. Annoyed at their odd behaviors, Kayla walked by them and headed up to the ledge to admire the beautiful view. After a few minutes, she turned around to see where the guys had wondered off to, only to find Kevin down on one knee. He quickly blurted out, "Will you marry me?" and the rest is history!

After two plus years of planning, we cannot wait to celebrate with you all on our wedding day! Get ready to smile, cry, laugh and PARTY with us on our big day!
