⛰ Things To Do

If you're staying in the area for the weekend, please enjoy some of our favorite places to visit in Peekskill and the neighboring river towns.

Countryside Kitchen

Come try the ABC Channel 7 famous, "Holy Cannoli Pancakes"!

Gleason's

911 South Street, Peekskill, NY 10566
, (914) 402-1950

When Toni and Kevin first started dating, this was one of their go to stops for great cocktails and bar snacks. A local hotspot, Gleason's is one of Peekskill's many great bars.

The Peekskill Coffee House

101 South Division Street, Peekskill, NY 10566
, (914) 739-1287

Inspiring community to join with kindness and a passion for that which warms the body, mind, and soul. The Peekskill Coffee House is a cornerstone of the community conveniently located in the heart of downtown and is referred to often as “Peekskill’s Living Room”.

Spins Hudson

This is 40,000 square feet of intense adventure including aerial ropes course, axe throwing, two story laser tag arena, and more! A unique destination overlooking the scenic Charles Point Marina offering exceptional dining, event space, and satellite brewery.

Storm King Art Center

1 Museum Road, New Windsor, NY 12553

Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor museum located in New York’s Hudson Valley, where visitors experience large-scale sculpture and site-specific commissions under open sky. Since 1960, Storm King has been dedicated to stewarding the hills, meadows, and forests of its site and surrounding landscape.

Dia Beacon

3 Beekman Street, Beacon, NY 12508
, (845) 440-0100

Located in a former Nabisco box-printing factory, Dia Beacon presents Dia's collection of art from the 1960s to the present. We actually have not made our way here yet, but it looks real cool! If you go, let Toni know what you think.

Anthony's Nose via Camp Smith Trail

Enjoy an easy hike through the woods all the way to the top of Anthony's Nose. A fantastic overlook with breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley.

Anthony’s Nose from South Mountain Pass

Feel up for a challenge? Anthony's Nose can also be reached via the climbing trail. Ascend the mountain using the natural stone stairs with beautiful views of the valley the entire way up.

Bear Mountain State Park

Bear Mountain, NY 10911

Just up mountain along the winding route 6 (or as the locals call it, The Goat Trail), Bear Mountain is a great location to go for a hike and watch the leaves change.
